We watch accounts,
not you.
ante reads public follower lists. To do that it needs very little from the person asking. This page lists all of it, in plain words.

applies to the private beta
If you read nothing else.
/ what we ask for
An email address when you request access. Everything else on that form is optional.
/ what we never ask for
Your X login, a wallet connection, or anything else that belongs to your accounts.
/ trackers
None. No analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party cookies. One cookie keeps you signed in.
/ selling data
We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you. There is nobody we would sell it to.
/ leaving
Write to us and your address, your watchlist and your files are deleted.
/ 01
Who is responsible
ante ("we") is an independent product, currently in private beta. For anything on this page, including requests to see or delete your data, write to hello@ante.watch.
This policy covers the website and the tool behind the invite. It sits next to the terms.
/ 02
What we keep about you
When you request access. Your email address and, if you choose to add them, an X or Telegram handle and a line about what you would use ante for. We use this to decide on invites and to send you a code. Nothing else.
When you enter a code. Your browser gets one cookie, ante_access. It is signed, readable only by our server, lasts 90 days and does one thing: it keeps the tool unlocked. It is strictly necessary, which is why there is no cookie banner.
When you use the tool. The accounts you save to your watchlist, and which projects you have opened and when. These are stored against your invite code, not against a name.
What you search. The result of a search is public data about an X account. It goes into a cache shared by all members, so the same project is never paged twice. The cached result does not record who asked for it.
Technical traces. Your IP address is held in memory for a few minutes to slow down abuse of the public forms; it is not written to our database. The server that hosts ante keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, time, path, browser) for a limited period.
In your browser only. A single local storage entry, ante:intro-seen, remembers that you have seen the intro. It never leaves your device.
/ 03
What we do not collect
- Your X password or any login to X. ante reads public data and never acts as you.
- Wallet addresses or signatures. There is nothing to connect.
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, fingerprints or session recordings.
- Payment details. Nobody is charged during the private beta. When paid plans start, payments will be handled by a payment provider and this page will say which one before anyone pays.
/ 04
Who else is involved
A data provider. When you run a search, the handle you typed is sent to a third-party provider that reads public X data for us. It receives the handle. It receives nothing about you.
X's image servers. Profile pictures in the lists load straight from X, so X sees your IP address the way it would on any page that shows an X avatar.
Hosting. The company whose server ante runs on stores our database and the access logs on our behalf.
That is the whole list. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else, unless a law we are subject to leaves us no choice.
/ 05
If your account shows up in a list
ante shows what X itself shows to anyone: handle, name, bio, profile picture, follower and following counts, the verified mark, the date the account was created, and the order in which accounts followed a project. No messages, no email addresses, nothing from behind a login.
Cached copies can be out of date: a bio you changed yesterday may still read the old way in a file that was closed last month.
If you want your account taken out of ante's stored results, write to hello@ante.watch in a way that lets us check the account is yours, and we will remove it.
/ 06
How long we keep it
- Access requests: until the beta ends or you ask us to delete yours, whichever is first.
- Watchlist and files: for as long as your invite is active, and deleted on request.
- Cached public results: until they are refreshed or removed.
- Server logs: for the hosting provider's standard period, then gone.
/ 07
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how it is used. Lists can be exported from the tool as CSV at any time. Write to hello@ante.watch and you will have an answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or the UK: we rely on your request (steps before a contract) to handle the waitlist, on our contract with you to run the tool, and on legitimate interest for security and for analysing public data. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
/ 08
Security
The session cookie is signed and hidden from scripts, traffic is encrypted, and there are no passwords to leak because ante does not have any. No system is perfect. If something happens that affects your data, you will hear it from us directly.
/ 09
Age and changes
ante is for adults. If you are under 18, please do not use it or request access.
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters, for example a new provider or the start of payments, members and everyone on the waitlist get an email first.
